Blizzard is finally opening their most anticipated multiplayer game "Heroes of the Storm" Technical Alpha to the Southeast Asian Region including the Philippines.

Blizzard said that the first wave of invitations for the Technical Alpha are currently being sent to limited amount of players based outside the United States, and that includes testers who opted-in via Battle.net, as well as friends and family members of Blizzard employees.

Filipinos who are interested and want to be part of the Technical Alpha you can read the more information about this at the Heroes of the Storm - Southeast Asia website.

It added the Heroes Shop has been updated to support several local currencies and payment methods.

So far, it said the client is available in English, with other languages likely to be available at a later date.

Improving gameplay experience

Blizzard said that they support the new regional invites by enabling its game servers in Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia to deliver "improved gameplay responsiveness and a better gameplay experience for international testers."

However, it also cautioned testers this is still in the early test stages, and accounts will be wiped once in a while.

"Don’t forget, this is still Technical Alpha and we will be performing several scheduled account wipes when we reach new phases of testing. When an account wipe takes place, any experience you've gained and any quest progress you’ve made, as well as any heroes, skins, and mounts you've unlocked, will be reset as though you're starting a fresh account," it said.

However, it said testers will get a Battle.net balance credit for any real money they spend.

Phishing reminders

Blizzard also reminded testers to be careful against phishing attempts.

It pointed out there are no keys for Tech Alpha testing being sent out at this time.

"If you believe you’ve received an invite to the Heroes Tech Alpha, it’s best to refrain from clicking on any links in any emails. Instead, log in to your Battle.net account to see if a Heroes of the Storm alpha game license has indeed been granted," it said.

On the other hand, it said there is no nondisclosure agreement, meaning players can "stream games, take screenshots, record videos, and share everything about their adventures in the Nexus."
